Jeff Newton must be one of the greatest people alive in the coffee scene, with some of the greatest iconic hair (have you seen Dragon Ball Z?) After following him for years online, the day we finally met, was an absolut joy and I knew we needed to get him on the podcast immediately. He is genuine and easy to talk to in a way I have not come across in a long time and that needed to be documented in the best way I knew how. Podcast.
Hanging out in Jeff's vibe, just makes you want to do right by yourself, if this makes any sense. It’s like he makes you an optimist, without the preachy or cheesy way I see too often in the scene. We all know those cheesy people I'm talking about; those people who post gooddie goodie quotes and never have an opinion. If you are so PC you can’t pick a point of view in life, you’re not genuine. You don’t have to curse or be lewd, but stand for something, dislike something, indulge in another thing. Gumption!
Anyways: This ness of Jeff is directly reflected in quality of this podcast episode. Enjoy the usual fun, how Jeff says the word “photography,” as well as the development of his blog Americano Mondays and deep thought on the importance of being true to yourself with the opportunities life is giving you. Don’t ignore the signs and put in work!
Ate: Bread and Cie – Thumbs up for their lemon bar. (And I know lemon bars ::wink::)
Here are the awesome brewing items we spoke about:
“People who aren’t people” … would say this room smells like coffee and strawberries.
